Experience
James has more than 12 years of experience in underground mining-engineering roles, with primary expertise in detailed engineering planning, including all aspects of mine design and scheduling, drill-and-blast design, and resource and reserve statements. James also has extensive experience with financial analysis, production rate analysis, net smelter return calculations, and cut-off grade optimization. Prior to AMC, James worked for Black Mountain Mining and was instrumental in increasing the ratio of open-stope mining to cut-and-fill mining to try and reduce the overall cost of mining. During his time with Black Mountain Mining, James also gained exposure to working on long-term projects whilst working on the feasibility study for the Swartberg project.
