AMC exhibits at the 18th GMUSG Conference & Trade Expo

AMC Consultants will exhibit at the 18th GMUSG Conference on 16-18 August in Port Pirie. Led by Johann van Wijk, General Manager of AMC's office in Adelaide, the team looks forward to welcoming delegates to booth #44. 


The conference will gather players from the resources, energy, manufacturing, defence and infrastructure to hear how and where more than $3 billion is being spent in the Upper Spencer Gulf and Far North of South Australia. The mining industry is well represented with BHP, Nyrstar, OzMinerals, and SACOME being sponsors.

  • Short bio

    Johann is a Mining Engineer specializing in mining rock mechanics. He has more than 30 years of experience in the mining industry, including a balance of operational and consulting experience. Johann has worked in operations, developing, and implementing geotechnical risk management strategies and providing advice to senior leadership on rock engineering matters. Although much of his experience is in underground coal mining, he has experience in surface mining (coal and other commodities) and underground hard rock mining. Johann has been working in consulting for the past eleven years and has been involved in a wide variety of assignments, including technical analyses and due diligence.
