International Mining Geology Conference 2024

The International Mining Geology (IMG2024) Conference brings together industry experts to explore advancements in mining geology, exchange knowledge, ideas, and insights that will shape the future of mine geology. Organized by the AusIMM, the conference will take place in Perth, Australia between 7-8 May, 2024.

This biennial conference aims to grow the capability of geologists to solve common problems and develop their careers. It will cover a broad range of topics including excellence in mine geology, future proofing in technology, decision making, and reconciliation.

About Karl

Karl is a mining engineer with 30 years hands-on operational and technical experience working in challenging open pit and underground mines across Africa and Australia. He has leadership experience in senior roles for multi-national resource companies and as a Mining Industry consultant. He has been sponsor, project manager, technical lead and contributor to over 500 diverse global mining industry assignments. These include due diligence reviews, independent technical reports, feasibility studies, Ore Reserves, financial analysis, valuations, mine planning and operational optimisation. Karl is a Fellow of the AusIMM and is a trusted advisor to a growing list of company executives. Karl has qualifications in engineering, economics and an MBA. Specialties: Mining Engineer, Underground, Open Pit, Ore Reserve estimation, Mine Planning, Feasibility studies, Deep Level Wits Gold, Operational Management, Project and Technical team management.
